Amiran Dolidze “Mere itkvian: khom geubnebodit, gijiao” (Then they say he’s crazy)

Synopsis: We get to see a day in life of Irakli, a georgian sculptor who strongly holds on to old values, and his meeting with contemporary modern art.

The documentary is about Irakli who fled Georgia during the 1990s due to an insecure and unappreciated future lying ahead of him as an artist in his home country. Irakli represents an artist with an uncompromising character and in this documentary we follow his story told by himself. We get a glimpse into his daily life in Riksheim, France, and get to hear his opinion on modern contemporary art among other things.

Biography: Born in 1987 in Tbilisi. In 2009 he graduated from Film and TV Direction Department of the University of Theatre and Cinema of Georgia majoring in direction of clips and commercials. In 2011 he graduated from the University of Theatre and Cinema with a masters in Scriptwriting.
